Welcome to the Day1 - 12 Day1s of Christmas Fitness Challenge! The Day1 - 12 Day1s of Christmas Fitness Challenge is all about YOU finding YOUR goal while maintaining YOUR motivation and sanity during the often hectic and chaotic Holiday Season!
By focusing on a goal for 12 Days, you can be sure to stay on track while that extra cookie or egg nog finds it's way to your hands. Speaking of treats, to honor the Holiday Spirit - the Day1 Team will be offering official *t-shirts to all those who participate in the Day1 - 12 Day1s of Christmas Fitness Challenge! That's right - set the goal, complete the goal, get the shirt that says you've been there and done that. Need Support? Feed off of the LiveDay1 Community and find your encouragement through participation!

Unfortunately, I didn't finish as strong as I would have liked, but I did improve my freqency in getting to the gym and formalizing my exercise. I have high-hopes for the new year and think this was a great way to start some good winter habits. Thanks Day1 and all of you who serve as such great motivation!

Long walk yesterday and about 40 minutes of yoga. Felt good. Didn't do so well the day before Christmas or Christmas day....Unless dodging wrapping paper being thrown at me from 30 adults during a Christmas exchange counts. - They made me sit there! I found a bicycle helmet, braved the trechery, and I was fine! That counts, doesn't it????

Cold/Flu's are no fun Rita - best to get your rest and then bounce back fully charged...I like the focus on the 12 days "after" thought, you can do it!

Unfortunately, I didn't finish strong ... being sick totally knocked me out. :*( Oh well, I am still a bit sick but am going to start up again today with an easy workout ... I'll focus on the 12 days "after" Christmas instead! ;)

Alright, the final day of the challenge! I ended up spending the day skiing (before the family holiday gathering) so that ends up being way better than 30 min's of cardio...and that is a good thing.

I hope you all have made your challenge and look forward to sporting the t-shirt :)

Last minute running around and fighting for a parking spot - check.

I did not manage to fit my cardio in yesterday, so today is DOUBLE DOWN WEDNESDAY! Dog and I went for a jog this morning, then I will spin or get my elliptical on tonight. Only a couple days left in the challenge - this guy is going to finish it out!

Wow! We should all print out pictures of inspirational places and put them on the workout walls! Or play a slideshow, or something! This group helps ALOT!!

No work out today ... still coughing up a lung and sneezing my brains out. :( BUT, I am going to stretch after I get off this computer. Thanks for the get well wishes everyone!

@ Candy: That's awesome that you kicked your own butt working out! It sounds like you are making time for you ... way to go!

@Jonathan: I can imagine that a cruise ship work out would be far more interesting ... Maybe you can enlarge a photo of your cruise ship view and tape it up somewhere? lol

Got my 30 mins today in at the gym, treadmill, let's just say it holds nothing to the view of the cruise ship ;-)

My update: Yoga at home on Saturday. - Kicked my own butt!!! Lots of walking all through the weekend. Would MUCH rather be in an excersize room on the Caribbean somewhere! Jonathan- WAY TO GO!!!
Cardio tonight and tomorrow. Might mix it up with some weights - and yoga at least one more time before Thursday......HAPPY HOLIDAYS.........

After about 8 hours of remodeling, I'm beat. No chance to get to the gym or do any formal exercise, but my body is telling me that I exerted myself today... and I made some noticeable progress on the home improvements. More "real" exercise tomorrow.

More work on the house today, but missed the gym. I hope to get back to it tomorrow, even if just for a high-intensity 30 minutes.
